We are currently recruiting for the role of a Finance and Admin. Officer at WADPN.
The West Africa Drug Policy Network is a Civil Society Organisation based in Accra, Ghana, but we work in all the 16 west Africa Countries through our networks in these countries. This position is to ensure the robust accounting and financial management of WADPN grants in line with local laws, donor regulations, WADPN policies and procedures and international best practices. Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Finance and Admin Officer will work on budgeting, financial report to donors, Annual financial statements and managing the day to day financial management of the organisation. In addition, the post holder will also Liaise with External Audit on statutory audit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Finance and Admin Officer include analysing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting and legal requirements, and preparing budgets.
Ensuring compliance with accounting and Ghana tax laws.
Payroll Management
Updates in Quick book system
Process payment for staff and vendors
Process and pay Payroll liabilities (SSNIT, TAX)
Regularly evaluating WADPN internal management systems, procedures and risks to provide recommendations.
